KB Dollars - Keyboard Dollars

Last night Joe and Olly were confirmed as the final two on Britain's XFactor. Unfortunately Stacey went out of the competition 3rd. She really did nothing wrong, she has definately got a great singing career in front of her. Here are the highlights of last night's show:

Joe McElderry: Dance With My Father

Olly Murs: Fool In Love

Stacey & Michael Buble: Feeling Good

Tonight's show was really too close to call, with both men being fantastic singers. Olly chose to sing "Twist and Shout" and Joe opted for "Don't stop believing"

Both contestants then went on to sing "The Climb" originally made famous by Miley Cyrus. Olly sang totally beyond how good he had already sang in previous rounds and that could really have been the point where he deservedly won. However Joe completely raised the bar with his rendition of the same song. The young man from south shields absolutely nailed it.

Both contestants deserved to win but Joes vocal range won people's votes.

Early in the programme the Mayor of south shields said "You are a winner and you're gonna win joe", I just hope he had a tenner on it.

Videos to come soon

Just over a week ago I stumbled upon a secret, it was a secret that everyone in britain and many abroad wanted to know but couldn't find an answer to.

Before I go any further, please promise that you will not click on any adsense links because I do not want to make any money by giving you this information.

Ok here goes:

I had been bombarded on the the news by the sad story of baby P, who at just 17 months old had been killed possibly by his mum or stepfather. He was missing the top of a finger and had a broken back, it was obvious the assaults were sustained. The story made me really upset because I have a son at exactly the same age. I just kept wondering how on earth this could happen in Britain to such an innocent baby boy.

However I was more shocked that all the news stations were refering to him as baby P, I just felt that surely he had a name and that his name should be made known. What are we if we do not have a name? that is who we are.

So I decided to look for his name on various websites, and after 4 hours searching I eventually found it. It was mentioned on a local newspaper website where the incedent happened. At that moment I wanted to tell the world what his name was. So I decided to announce it on my Orble blog.

Baby P
See you in heaven Pal

The reason that I announced it there was because I wanted the world to know that he had a name.

Anyway, after a restless sleep I decided to search for why his name wasn't to be given and I found out there was a press blackout. Which basically means that there is good reason not to share his name -- ie it may upset his siblings, or effect the trial.

So I immediately deleted my post because I didn't want to upset or effect anything or onyone but it was too late. When I searched google my post came in at number 3, and sadly it still does. Luckily clicking the link goes to the main Orble site, but unfortunately I gave the name in the title which still shows on google.

There are three points that I would like to make:

1) If you find something and publish it that lots of people are looking for you will get to the top of google.

2) Orble is very powerful getting you indexed with Google. Publishing elsewhere would have not given the same result.

3) Be careful what you post.

I just hope that one day I find a secret that everyone needs that doesn't involve such a horrible story.

Please do not click on adsense ads, because I do not want to make money giving this information.

What's your suggestion?

September 24th 2008 22:00
After several quality posts on my sub domain (now deleted) I was lucky enough to be given kbdollars.com by Orble about 7 months ago.

I originally intended to continue with the keyboarddollars theme and I have lots of ways of making extra online. However, kbdollars sounds like an oriental name for a website, and it's not a title I've ever been comfortable.

I have these questions for fellow Orblers:

1) Should I keep it how it is and just post my articles?

2) Should I change what kb stands for:if so any suggestions?

3) Should I just ditch the whole idea of developing this site and just work on the one I have recently been given?

Thankyou in advance

Chris

KB Dollars is back!!

January 24th 2008 22:55
I was given the privilege to write for my first Orble domain site about two weeks ago. Thank-you Charles and Jon for your support. I chose KB Dollars because I felt that the title summed up what we all hope to do here. That is make a few dollars via our keyboards.

Over the next few days I will be ripping up some of the posts that already exist on this Orble because quite frankly a couple are out of date and others were just wrong in the first place

The fine art of apology

November 28th 2006 14:12
Never been my strong suit, apologising. When I was a kid, I read a speech in school, which I learnt by heart, from an article in Reader's Digest. The gist of the speech was that you should mean it - That is, you're really sorry, and the apology should be accompanied by a token of your sincerity.

There was no need for me to go about ranting on someone else's blog. neither was there call for me to be mean and totally pig-headed. For these things and any hurt, percieved or otherwise, I caused to any and all Orble members, I apologise from the bottom of my heart

Web Traffic Unplugged

November 23rd 2006 05:13
Well, not exactly, but you might be able to make enough to buy a beer or two. The secret of internet marketing is to reach a targeted audience. It's called eyeballs in web traffic terminology. You really don't have to worry about presentation or design or copywriting or anything along those lines. You get a 100 eyeballs, 10 of them click.Ten of them click, one of them gets converted into a penny. Ramp up the traffic to a 1000 eyeballs, meaning a 100 clicks and 10 pennies. Then you ramp it up to 10,000 eyeballs....

Change Of Plan

November 21st 2006 07:38
I've been doing a lot of thinking and a lot of planning, in addition to blogging and doing my freelancing. The jobs and my, um, thoughts I can't post in this blog cause I'm posting them elsewhere where it's easier for me to get a few more eyballs and a few more clicks. What I will be doing on this blog is posting other ways you can make money online.

I still love you, Adele. And even before I saw the "Why don't you comment and rate other blogs" post which seems to have hit a nerve on the Orble front page, I had been thinking about the wisdom of reaching out to other blogs inside orble. Specially wanted to comment on the Limericks post in Adele's blog. I scrapped the idea of commenting there, because I couldn't wring out a Limerick, and as for the other posts on her blog, I'm not much of a Lost fan. in fact, I don't know squat about it. Sorry
